Ge Bangs and causes the lights to flicker

I have a 4 year old GE top load washer and this week it has started making a loud clank sound during every revolution which causes the lights in the house to flicker. The washer will go through all phases but run just fine in the spin cycle. The pump is clear and no object is in the way. The agitator works fine and all stabilizers and shocks are in place. Any suggestions? Maybe motor or transmission?
