GE Profile Oven TouchPad turns Everything to ERR

My 6 year old GE Profile Wall Oven Has Touchpad Control . Only the Broiler works now because it does not require a number. When I try to set the clock, timer or temperature every number I select shows 8 then ERR. I am unabel to use the oven or set the clock. Any one know what I need to do?

As this is a UK website, and I'm in the UK, I can't say I know the model you are asking about...but...

it sounds like the programmer/PCB/control chip (whichever it has) is faulty. The “Err” will simply mean “error” and the “8” will be that error’s code.

If you have the original handbook (or try the manufacturer’s website for a downloadable PDF version) then it may well list the error codes and suggest a course of appropriate action.

Failing all the above you could always call out an appliance engineer!
