I'm floor tiling my bathroom soon with 300mm sq 10mm thick porcelain tiles. Can you recommend a min/max gap between tiles? I guess you can buy spacers to suit which may be a different width to the wall tiles I have just installed.

Also given the fact that the wall tiles are 400mm x 250mm the gaps between the floor and walls wont line up. Will this matter or should I change floor tiles (assuming you can get 250mm sq?)

In respect of the grouting on both floor and wall tiles. Should this be finished flush with tile or slightly indented?

Comments appreciated.

Generally 5mm is fine - the larger the gap the less any uneven tiles stick out.

Nope - unless you've got an obsessive compulsive problem. If so, you can lay them diamond pattern - i.e. 45°.

As flush as you can get is fine - you'll find that an amount of grout will be removed however you do it.

Great Stuff, thanks for the reply.

I was thinking about diamond lay but I don't think this will look right.

I'm a bit of a F***** for thinks being done right and also looking right.

Thanks again gcol.
