generator size?

just a quick question for yas folks, will a 850w genie power a jigsaw to cut 40mm laminate worktop?

most jigsaws are a lower wattage than that, so the answer is probably yes, but check your jigsaws wattage and keep the extension lead to a sensible length.

A generator giving out 850watts, should power a jigsaw consuming 500 / 600watts
With the correct saw blade and taking it easy, you should manage to cut 40mm.

A handsaw would make a better cut and not need the genny.

jigsaw was req to scribe the worktop back and cut out fpor the sink and hob, genie worked a treat, thanks for the replys
