Getting grout off tiles

I appreciate this has probably been asked before....

When I had my tiles down, they needed regrouting because the original grout failed. The tiler re-grouted, but left me to clean the grout off the tiles. I got most of it off with water and a cloth, but now, a year later, I can still see a grey haze on them....

They are slate effect tiles, so they are not smooth.

What's the best product for me to buff them up with? I am worried about scratching them.

If your tiles are porcelain then Try some warm water and a stiff scrubbing brush,failing that try this stuff http://www.tilefixdirect.com/product/LFCRR1L.html
