Hi
I have a Gledhill Boilermate heatstore that contains 2 pump control PCBs.
I have been getting a lot of relay noise (Chattering) for a while. There are 2 PCB, one for boiler pump delay to run teh pump for 5 min after the boiler stops firing and a second that runs the CH pump for a couple of seconds per day to avoid it sticking during the summer.
This problem was originaly just once per day so I assumed it was the CH pump drive PCB. It recently got worse and happened almost everytime the boiler fired ( Boiler delay pcb?).
I just fitted a new Boiler delay PCB and the problem is still there once per day. it only happens for a couple of seconds so I cant ensure I am there to confirm which rleay is noisy.
Question
Could the relay failures be caused by a failing pump?
( both pumps are Grundfos Selectric 15/50)
Could I just be unlucky to have 2 failures?
These PCBs look real simple but I do not have the time to look at fixing to component level.
Thanks in advance,
Ian
