Gloss for exterior woodwork - recommendations?

Hi All,

I'm about to start painting some exterior woodwork (mainly window frames) and although I've done plenty of interior decorating I've never painted outside before and wondered if anyone had any recommendations as to what brand/type of paint I should be using?

Any of the well kmown brands are fine...yellowings isnt realy an issue on outsides either.

I wouldnt bother with a specific exterior loss that lets the wood breath if it has been painted before..it wont do its job

Thanks for that! - would you recommend a liquid or non-drip gloss?

I'd recommend an undercoat and an external gloss. Ultra violet radiation will cause it to peel in no time otherwise.
