I've got a tin of white gloss thats been sat around for a year or two, unused.

I opened it the other night and found the paint had the consistency of cottage cheese. No amount of shaking and mixing would make it smooth again, but it appears to go onto wood without issue (although its a bit lumpy on the brush)

Any way I can get it back to its normal smooth self, or should I just use it as it is?

Have a look on the tin for shelf life date, I would say throw it away.

if you pour the paint through a pair of tights all the lumps will stay inside them and the smooth "good" paint fill run through them into the container
