gloss paint

ive just moved house & the previous owners took no care whilst glossing the windowsills, how can i remove gloss from pvc frames, its driving me mad!!

most solvents and strippers will melt the windows you could try a paint brush cleaner on small out of the way bit or maybe a water base stripper
only on small bits first

Hi!

Is the paint actually on the widow frame itself, of is there any plastic trim between the window frame and the sil?

You could consider finding a local double glazing man and seeing if he could replace the trim. The guy who fitted ours said he would replace ours when we redecorate.
