Hi,

My son's boiler (Glow-worm 24Ci) is acting up, and is behaving rather erratically. I'll try and take you through the sequence of events after it having been switched off for some time (30 minutes or longer) and then switched back on:
1. A few clicks from controller, but then nothing for at least 1 minute before the LED begins flickering very fast (green), whilst the display remains blank.
2. After a further 20-30 seconds the display starts to show some sign of life, dimly at first but rather fast.
3. After 2 or 3 minutes the LED flicker more slowly and the display switches between an F code and 1.4 Bar.
4. After about 5 minutes the LED momentarily shows Red and the display an F13 fault.
5. The LED then switches to Green and the display shows 1,4 Bar - both no longer flickering.
6. The CH then tries to start up with 'various rattling noises' coming from the boiler, but no ignition - this sequence goes on every 15-20 seconds for several minutes, then after about 5 minutes boiler eventually fires up, but then goes off after 5 seconds. This sequence repeats for several more minutes until it eventually starts to run 'normally'.
7. When DHW is then demanded the burner fires up for about 5 seconds then goes off for about 10 seconds, before firing up again and repeating the sequence for several minutes.

Apologies for the length of this, but I was hoping someone might have had a similar experience. Water pressure 1.4 Bar and fan runs fine, however there are some strange noises coming from the gas valve! Can't hear any kettling from DHW plate exchanger, but was thinking that the main PCB might need changing - I've had a similar experience from my old boiler (Vokera) which was down to the small pcb relays acting themselves!

Any help would be appreciated, Bob.
