Hi All,
I have done a lot of googling before posting.
I have a Glow Worm 30 SXi boiler which has worked flawlessly for years. 2 weeks ago I woke up with F13 fault flashing and resetting doesn't work. When i turn the boiler on I hear the fan spin briefly then get the dreaded F13 error.
Since I have tried:
- Reseting several times and every day since
- Checked all PCB connections, unplugged and re-plugged
- Checked all sensor connections/plugs
- Check the earth and fuse
- Tapped relays incase they are sticking
- Checked other PCBs
- Looked for burning/scorch marks on PCB (none)
I then went away for 4 days (last hot weekend) leaving boiler off and when I came back I switched it on and it worked fine again. Put it back on the timer and next morning was flashing again. This made me think perhaps it wasn't the PCB so im really unsure now.
Plumbers are talking £400 for new PCB which is 1/3 price of a new boiler. PCBs seem to be £200 new or I may also try second hand off eBay.
The manual doesn't have any test proceedure for this fault. Does anyone have any other ideas?
Thanks in advanced for any help!
