Hi all,
I have a Glow Worm 40/52 boiler, came with the house and is an ancient number of years old.
Currently I can only get the pilot lit, but when main flame ignites it only stays lit for about one minute then cuts out and kills the pilot. It does this for hot water alone and for water/central heating.
Suggestions? Can't be the pilot thermocouple obviously, wonder if there's an overtemp cutoff or something. Or dodgy gas valve I guess, although it does seem to fire up well enough before it dies.
I expect a new boiler to be the answer. But it's freezing cold and I am potless !!
Cheers,
Rich.
