Glow worm betacom 28 flashinh 0.0 bar

Hi guys,

Stumbled on this forum while searching for solution to my boiler problem. So we woke uo today morning to find our Glow worm betacom2 28 boiler flashing 0.0 bar

Found some videos on fixing it, but the models in those videos are not similar to mine. So i understand that the ideal pressure should be 1 - 1.5 bar and i need to increase it now. Could anyone advice how can i do this?

Turn the black handle on the silver braided hose. Can't see the other end of it ,should be attached to a copper pipe ?

Yes.. It is attached to a copper pipe. And it connects to the inlet on the boiler.

Turned that and the pressure was back up at 1.5 bar and then turned it back in its off position... Did i do this right?

Thank you very much.. Heaters are back on, but the pressure shows 2.5 now.. Is this normal?

Probably not. Water expands when heated ,and increases pressure. However it should not rise to close to 3 bar.
Have you fully closed the black handled filling loop ?
I suspect your expansion vessel is not performing ,and is behind the reason you lost pressure in the first place .

Yes.. Double checked the black knob.. Its fully closed. Would call in someone to do a boiler servicing...

What is the pressure now ,if central heating has been running since topping up pressure ?
You will need an engineer to visit .

Is heating still on ? You may not have an issue at all. You may have just put a bit too much pressure in. As long as it didn't go above 2.5 bar ??
