Hi
This evening I noticed that the pilot light went out on my boiler. So I followed the instructions on how to light it. It will spark and light up, but as soon as I release the button that must be pressed when igniting the pilot it goes out. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what might be wrong?
Thanks a lot.

Thanks for the reply. So can you suggest what might be wrong? It will be useful to have some idea when looking for someone to help fix it.

Just for the record, the thermocouple needed replacing. A gas engineer came and was able to replace the part with a univeral thermocouple and service the boiler. The whole job took about one hour and now it's running nicely.
