Hi All,

I'm having problems with my hot water system, I'm getting CH but no hot water, when I say no hot water what I mean is there is no pressure on the hot water at all, when I run the hot water tap it runs for about 10 seconds and then starts to stop until nothing, then I have to water at all coming out of the tap.

It's a Glow Worm Space Saver System with a boiler in the kitchen and immersion tank under the stairs and a large and small tank in the loft.

The pipe coming out of the top of the immesion feels warm but the other pipes feel really hot, but when I get in the loft the pipe for the hot water feels cold.

What could be the cause of the problem?

You have an air lock on the HW pipe. Nothing to do with boiler or heating system.
If you have a mixer tap at the sink Cup your hand over the spout open the hot tap fully then open the cold (it needs to be a mains fed cold). The cold mains pressure will push through the hot pipe right up to the tank taking any air lock with it.
Hold for around 30 secs then close off cold and let hot run through.
If not mixer tap cut a piece of hose and join between hot and cold at sink and do as above.
