I have a Glowworm Fuelsaver Complheat 65, age unknown. I needed to isolate and remove a radiator from the living room whilst decorating. After completion the radiator was replaced and rad valves opened. Unfortunately it seems that I forgot to top up the system, and as a consequence after a day and night of working the boiler is now on lockout. The red warning lamp is alight ' CH pressure to Low'. I have pressurised the system at 2 bar, bled the radiators and pressed the reset button but nothing happens. The PCB neons are not functioning and there is no spark.

Advice and suggestions desperately needed.

thanks

sounds like a blocked or buggered low pressure switch, corgi job i would say

Thanks for the input corgiman.

There's a live feed going to the low pressure switch but non comming out. After isolating the switch the pcb works fine and the boiler fires up first time. Think perhaps your right the switch is faulty or perhaps have a massive airlock in system. Is this possible?

It will be caused by dirt in the water way to the LP switch.

Either take it out and clean everything.

It will probably reset itself after a few more hours on its own!

In future keep an eye on the pressure every few days!

Thanks Tony,

Hopefully the LP switch will reset itself. The boiler is on and I'm keeping a watchful eye on the pressure gauge! If I do need to clean the LP switch and sundry would I infact have to drain the CH system?

thanks again

do as tony says and clean it out then she'll be apples :)
