Hi, we have a glow worm space saver 38 boiler which is 30 years old. The only control on the front is a dial on the front which goes from "off" to "max" which obviously controls the heat of the water. We used to have it in the middle which was OK except for really cold winters. Now it will only work in the max mode and if we try to turn it down it just switches off. An engineer has said he thinks it is the thermostat but doesn't know if spares are available. Having found a supplier of spares for boilers they need to know which kind of thermostat as there are three or four different kinds and they aren't qualified to diagnose which one. Control thermostat seems to be the most logical one, but would anyone know if this is right?
