This is my first post so bear with me
The gas valve on my 12yr old swift flow 80 started making a loud buzzing noise.
It started first when you ran the hot water then over time It’s got worse , then its started to make the noise when the heating fire up, now it does it all the time even if the gas is switch off.
I had a gas fitter round who said it was a faulty celanoied on the gas valve and it needed a new valve which he changed at a cost of £166 but as soon as he switched the power on it made the same noise.
Now he thinks it could be the PCB
Since the noise has got as bad as it has to get any hot water you have to have it trickling out the hot tap. The central heating seems to run ok and the rads get hot enough. Could it be the PCB or is there anything else that could affect the gas valve in this way
Any advice appreciated
