My company is thinking of installing quite a few of these in some new appartments due to a good pitch from the sales rep. I personally havent put any in but wondered if any of you lot had. We usually go for WB or Valliant and on the odd occasion the Ideal Independant on lower budget installs. Long story short, is it value for money, coming in at around £850 inc vat without flue and controls for the 30kw model.

Is the the ultracom 2 sxi or cxi? Not enough info
we have seen a few with heat exchanger problems coming through once they are about 4 -5 years old they start pinholing, Im not a great fan of them but they are not the worst you could buy, but at that price you could in my opinion get better boilers

not sure what your talking about the boilers only been out 3 yrs.
Its mostly what i fit and not had a single call or failure of any kind. The entire heat engine is the same as vaillant anyway(hex, fan, gv, burner, etc). Your really only paying less cos of the plastic hydraulics. controls are market leading.
No probs with the Ultracom 2, I prefer them to the 'Bunnies'.
Yea the main selling point on them was the vaillant guts and the new top of the range series of controls at half the price of WB and Vaillant plug-ins. Theyre also offering a five year warranty on the ultracom2 if installed by a glow-worm energy club member. I think its possible to get the warranty upto 15 years if a yearly service plan is taken out with vaillant
