Having an intermitent problem with the above type of boiler. When there is demand for the boiler to start up,the pump starts, the fan starts and then not much else happens. What I have found out is that while the fan and pump are running, if you loosen the inner case front, allowing some air into the chamber, the boiler immediately fires up and runs quite happily. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Likely to be a fan/venturi/APS problem but thats something which should normally be dealt with by a competent CORGI.
