Doing a kitchen for my neighbour on a very tight budget.

Picked up some used 7mm laminate free.
Some of the joints are coming apart. There is some damage to some of the locking mechanisms.
No spare boards!

I had some 50mm aluminium tape with me and used that face up to tape the the undersides together.
Not sure if that will hold long term.

Now wondering if I would be better glueing the joints?
I have some wood glue and mitre fix to hand.

Would not bother laminates not going to last in a kitchen.

Neighbour lives alone. Not likely to get the abuse, spills, etc as a young family.
I get that laminate is not the best solution but plenty do use it in kitchens.
