I've got a new internal door frame that I need to fit into an aperture made from rough sawn carcassing (timber framed wall). It'll need packing out by about 3/4" each side so I've got timber to pack it out and get it ot the right size to accomodate a 30" door plus a few mm each side for clearance.
My question is what's the best way to fix the frame timbers in? I obviously want this to look the best possible, so would you glue and nail, or countersink, screw then fill? I have adhesives to use, no more nails and sticks like sh*t.
Thanks in anticipation.
