Hi
The combi boiler in my loft has a flexible white plastic condensate outlet pipe that extends for about 1 foot or so from the bottom of the boiler, then connects to a more rigid white plastic pipe that runs out of the house. The pipes are both around 3/4" diameter. Recently I have noticed a slow drip coming from the connection between the flexible pipe and the more rigid pipe. The connector is a female type - both the flexible and rigid pipes seem to be glued into the connector.
The drip seems to be a result of a poor seal, presumably due to either poor gluing or degraded adhesive. I think I only really need to seal up the connection with a bit more glue, or some sort of sealant.
What adhesive/sealant should I use? I'm not sure what sort of plastic the pipes are (PVC?), but I don't want to use anything that is going to ruin the pipes. Is there some sort of special plumber's pipe adhesive?
Thanks!
