I have a little small tea table with wooden legs. The legs screw into a screw that's part of a metal bracket which is screws onto the underside of the table-top. The hole on the wooden leg has worked itself loose and now I'm not able to tighten it. Is there any kind of glue that can bond and strength the wood to the screw?

A mix of glue and sawdust or matchsticks/ wooden cocktail sticks pushed into the enlarged hole and allowed to set will make your hole smaller.
Try to leave the centre as a hole or mark to make putting the leg back on easier
