Good internet diagram resource for novice?

Hi all,
Is there a good website for UK domestic wiring circuits, including lighting switching and up-to-date circuitry in to commonly used appliances.
I read many posts with ratings and CSA's of cable etc, but seeing actual coloured diagrams/photos are a great help to an electrical beginner?

I have tried in the past to get domestic appliance diagrams on the net but with little success
