Brexit secretary says another year is needed.

This is to find alternative to the backstop.

The same backstop Johnson, Rees Mogg, Gove etc said we have a technical solution, but we cant tell you what that is.

We know why they cant tell us :ROFLMAO:

Some of the Brexers are celebrating because they think the EU is about to abandon RoI and give in.

"Jean-Claude Juncker, European Commission president, has opened the door to a possible Brexit deal, saying he was ready to scrap the controversial Irish “backstop” if Boris Johnson came up with a viable alternative."

read that again

If the EU were to 'give in' as you put it, I would rather use the term 'compromise' or 'reach an agreement'. How the f**k can that, in any way, shape or form be considered as abandoning RoI, given that it guarantees their continued success?

From the FT.

The EU has warned that the British government’s Brexit proposals fail to meet all of its basic tests for avoiding a hard border in Ireland and protecting the island’s economy,

Bojo does not want a deal, he wants to campaign on The Will of the People vs EU and Parliament

Break the Union and jettison NI. Would you accept that?

The EU already reached an agreement with the UK government. One of the EU's key points was that they would not accept an agreement that resulted in a hard border between NI and RoI.

The Brexers rejected that agreement.

One of the EU's key points still is that they will not accept an agreement that resulted in a hard border between NI and RoI.

We know that. The Government knows that. The Brexers know that. You know that.

And you think that abandoning a key point is a compromise?

RoI is one of the EU members, and the EU is committed to protecting the interests of its members. When we were a member they were committed to protecting our interests, but we have decided to abandon that.

Buffoon and his buddies like to say that the Backstop is not necessary because something will turn up.

The Backstop only comes into effect if there is no other acceptable solution.

Buffoon say that the Backstop must be taken out of the agreement. Because they know they have no solution. If they had a solution the backstop would never come into effect and would be of no consequence.

They don't really believe that they have a solution.

Does Boris lie?

Yes, we know he does.

Does he say he has a solution?

Yes

Is he lying?

Yes.

Does the EU know that?

Yes

Do you know that?

Yes.

It is highly relevant the the Brexers have demanded hard borders between the UK and the EU.

They demand that Freedom of Movement is stopped.
Therefore there must be a hard border to prevent EU citizens entering the UK without consent.

They demand to be outside the Single Market and the Customs Union
Therefore there must be a hard border to prevent smuggling and to enable customs checks

They refuse to abide by EU regulations
Therefore there must be a hard border to prevent non-compliant goods being exported into the EU.

So it is the Brexers that cause the need for a border.

Brexers know that. The EU knows that. Buffoon knows that. Even filly knows that.

And it is the Brexers that will not accept a guarantee that there will not be one.

Brexers know that they are demanding the impossible.
The EU knows that. Buffoon knows that. Even filly knows that.

Buffoon hopes to find a way to pin the blame on the EU when he cannot achieve the impossible.

Barmy Brexers will cheer him.
The EU knows that. Buffoon knows that. Even filly knows that.

It has been obvious for months that Buffoon and the Brexers do not want a deal. Because as soon as you try to define it and write it down it, becomes obvious that it can't be done.

All Buffoon wants is public adulation from his acolytes, and to be PM for a bit, strutting about, making meaningless speeches.

Brexit is not important to him. National humiliation is not important to him. Economic damage is not important to him. His party is not important to him. NI is not important to him. The United Kingdom is not important to him.

Buffoon may be able to fool Brexers in the UK.

We wont fool EU leaders.

That is why they are murmering polite noises about a deal being possible.

That is why Juncker said he doesnt insist on a backstop.

They are of course saying 'please do bring your proposals, we are keen to do a deal'.

But when Johnson brings them nothing or tries to blackmail them, they will politely say 'that is not an arrangement which ensures tge integrity of the single market'.

Johnson will therefore only have the existing WA to try and blackmail parliament for a deal.

So far he hasnt got any further than May, which we knew would happen, despite Brexiteers saying 'we need a Brexiteers in charge'.
