I moved from a new house with a Megaflow pressured system about 18 months ago to 1930's old stone house that needs renovating.

It currently has electric showers.

To make more room in the bathroom im looking to move the hot water cylinder into the loft. Both bathroom and ensuite are being redone and I was thinking about a mains pressure Megaflow tank again.

The thing is our old tank was a 250 litre tank and we only got about 20 minutes of hot water out of it. Everyone said and says this wasnt right but its what happened. Im wondering if it is the way to go or not.

Are normal gravity showers any use compared electric?

Are there any other options?

Thanks

Gravity showers will not give you a high-pressure, nipple-stinging shower, but done right with shower mixers and shower heads designed for high flow at low pressures, they can be better than electric.

If you need high pressure and need to supply more than one hot outlet at once then you're into shower pump or unvented (megaflow) territory.
