Does anyone have experience of these day-to-day? They seem a cheap option as a pickup, but I figure thre must be a reason for the cost!

Please, only user experiences , not "well it aint an L200 so...." type of reply!

Thanks

Chinese Peter, with few UK outlets. Certainly at the lower end of pricing, but I've no idea how good they are (or need to be) or how good the spares back up is.
For sure, they'll depreciate at lightning speed!

You mean the Great Wall Wingle - that's what it's called in China.

Don't think asking the ladies if they want a lift in your Wingle will cut it.

Strangely, I was just looking through the listings of makes on the used car search function of Auto Trader, and this marque jumped out at me. I'd never heard of it, but apparently, G W is the first proper Chinese car brand to be marketed in the UK. Cheap, but, as John says, you'll regret the low list price when you find that the depreciation will wipe out any advantages. For a throw away builder's skip, it's probably ideal.

Got a friend who after over eight weeks of waiting for gearbox spares and eventually waiting for a new gearbox he returned the vehicle - apparently the gearboxes are a common problem and spares and almost non existant.

But they are cheap....

I remember that Great Wall were getting sued by some of its American distributors for exporting vehicles with asbestos in the brake and clutch linings, which in this day and age is incredible.
