ive got a built in oven. ive been leaving door ajar when grilling as i did with previous free standing oven. unfortunately the laminated covering on the doors either side of my oven has melted off. as i couldnt find instructions i googled question 'door open/closed' and everybody is saying door must be closed or ill basically burn the house down.
however my mate has a built in oven and his instructions say door must be kept closed when grilling. whats right and why?
