my bosch w/m has worked perfectly for the last 4 years.
recently however it has started doing odd things. firstly it occasionally makes a strange groaning noise after the water has filled. while it is doing this the hot pipe is vibrating. if i alter the valve the groaning stops. i've tried switching off the hot pipe completely, ie just cold filling but then it wont fill at all. there are no other noises when it is working.
typical series of events =
hot on cold off. switch machine on. = humming sound (no water filling). turn hot on = water filling. groaning starts. alter hot valve = groaning stops.
