Hi,
Was in a bathroom shop the other day looking at options for a concealed shower valve to go in the new (combi driven) bathroom.
I'd been considering a Grohe, given all the strong feedback, and saw the faceplate for a concealed version - they thought it was a 3000 but weren't sure as it was old stock - and also an exposed model. The bar one felt absolutely rock solid, but I wasn't impressed with the concealed faceplate and knobs - they felt really tinny - even plasticy. Now granted it wasn't fitted properly, but I was really expecting top of the line, but this felt cheap - not at all what I was expecting.
Anyone have experience of the grotherm concealed range - are they all like this, or was I looking at the bottom of the range one - I was considering the 2000, is this any better?
On a related question - the pressure in my loft is probably only going to be 1.2 bar, with a flow of 13-14 litres/min - should I go for the low pressure (3/4") version to maximize my flow - any downsides of this?
