Hi all.
First time poster needing some advice, please.
I have a Grohe shower with a wall-mounted wireless control unit, part 45441(MC). It was installed by our house's previous owner and has been working fine for the past three years since we moved in.
However, about two months ago the wall unit suddenly started to consume batteries at a ridiculous rate. Previously a set of 4 quality Duracells would last over a year; now, it's going from brand new batteries to "Low Battery" beeps and completely dead within a FORTNIGHT!
I've tried two sets of brand new Duracells and also two sets of freshly-charged NiMhs and they all go to dead within a couple of weeks. When the batteries are alive, the shower operates normally.
The wall unit hasn't been abused at all; no water ingress and it hasn't been dropped or otherwise damaged.
Has anyone had a similar experience with a Grohe shower?
