Hi all
I am about to lay some decking in the back garden from the back of the house out three metres and across the full width of the house from fence to fence. This is approximately seven metres.
The first metre and a half out from the back is concrete.
When I build the frame I estimate there will be an inch or two clearance of the ground.
My question is what do you think the frame should rest on? Over the existing concrete I am thinking of attaching small posts that rest on the concrete. For the clay should I set the posts in concrete or dig holes and fill them with concrete on which posts can sit once dry? Or would paving slabs be sufficient?
Any advice is appreciated.
