Hi all

I am at the stage where I am ready to grout my floor tiles.

Where I have pressed the tiles into the adhesive, the adhesive has filled the gap in the grout line. I removed as much as I could at the time, however will I need to remove this before I grout, or can I grout straight over this?

Many thanks

Paul,
You may have used a too large adhesive notched trowel to comb the adhesive - but no big deal, now the adhesive has set then simply use your knife to lightly cut out any high adhesive. A grout saw works best but its not necessary for small jobs.
Then vacuum up the debris.
You wont clean out all the high adhesive but but correctly mixed grout will have no trouble filling the grout lines.
Float your grout & then use a finger stick with a rounded end to compress the grout lines - then sponge off.
Just saying FWIW: your job would only need a 4mm notched trowel.

Aaah right, thanks for letting me know. Lesson learnt thanks for the advice,
I’ve just bought a grout saw for this.

Many thanks
