In June I laid a slate floor in my kitchen towards the end of a complete renovation of the house. I rushed the job as I had my baby daughter due in a matter of hours and a long list of other jobs to complete, I was also extreamly exahused from the months of work.

Anyway i'm regretting rushed job. I didn't seal the slate and I also didn't wash all of the grout off the face of the tiles.

I now want to try and improve the appearance. Is there a method of removing the grout from the surface of the tile before I give it a good clean and apply a seal?

Thanks

Thanks for the quick response. There is not that much grout but snout to notice and when I put on the sealant I think it will highlight the problem. Was there a link you were going to post as I can't find one?

A wallpaper steamer may soften itenough to be removed? i have never used one on slate but just claened all the old adhesive from a plastered wall and it came off easily. Should be able to get a small head for one? may be an otion worth trying.
