I've just discovered our upstairs shower cubicle is leaking. The silicon around the base looks OK but the tile grout has a number of cracks in it. The cubicle consists of 3 stud partitions covered with plasterboard and tiles. I know this should be ply but I've got what I've got!
It looks as though the walls are flexing when leant upon hence the cracking. What I want to do is remove all the grout and replace it with something more flexible. Having renewed some once before I know what a time-consuming task this will be, so......
1) can anyone recommend a power tool to remove the grout without chipping the tiles? I've seen references to the Fein Multimaster and Exakt Precision Saw. Does anyone have any experience as to effectiveness and ease of use??
2) What sort of grout should I be using to cope with this movement??
