Grouting tools

Are the grouting tools to clean off worth using, i read not, or best to clean with a rag

i mean the joints, striking then

do you mean a grouting rubber?if so makes the job so much easier,a must have for your tool collection.
 
gcol,thats a new 1 for me never seen it before,you learn something every day.just googled it looks a good piece of kit if you do enough tiling,

This is where me and professional tilers disagree. on wall tiles I use a grout float and hawk to get the grout right into the gaps, once things are starting to dry I use my finger to clean the excess out of the gaps, then when things are dryer I use the palm of my hand to remove the grout from the tiles. I guess on large floors the washboy would come in handy.

I wouldn't just limit your disagreement to tilers - I'd be so bold as to suggest that anyone with half a brain would disagree with you too. :LOL: ;)
 
i love my washboy, wouldnt do anyjob without it, if i could id have it in bed with me, mrs jefoss might not be hppy tho about that
