GRP Chimney

Hi

I have a modern (2yr) three storey town house.

There is a GRP chimney on the roof. From the loft i can see straight up into the chimney. There is a lot of moisture condensating on the chimney, and dripping into the loft. Is it possible to insulate the GRP chimney in some way or any other ideas gratefully received.

Take the stupid thing off and roof over the hole - bloody things are appearing everywhere on new builds

Would love to remove permanantly, but apparently this would contravene planning.

Think i may have to remove and felt over the hole. then replace chimney over top?

Any thoughts?

I'd just take it off and tile over - I mean who would object to the removal of the thing ? ? .
