I’ve been on it hard the last few days, decking out my warm roof on the extension and had a mission of a day yesterday GRPing the lot. A welcome dry few days meant I had to get it done in this window. As usual I underestimated the task in hand and although I started early doors, by 4pm I realised I was fast running out of time. However stepped up a gear and managed to finish just before 7 under spotlight...

Couple of questions....

The consolidating roller was a pain in the ass. I found on most occasions it did more harm than good. It either wanted to ruffle the wet matting or seemed to lift it pulling air into it! The matting left alone seemed to be air free and nice and flat when laid down. Is this too much of an issue?

On a couple of edges where I did consolidate due to overlapping edges, there are a couple of stray strands sticking up. Due to being on my own and loosing light fast I topcoated. Looked this morning and is not bad. Is it now simply going back over a few areas I’m not totally happy with sanding with some 60 grit then topcoating again in the small patch?

I’ve noticed some vey small places in a corner that might have a pinhole or two from rushing in the dark. A little ruff up with 60 grit and topcoat?
