Hi. The battery on my gtech cordless hedge trimmer is playing up and I can't find any clues online as to what might be causing it.
It's the 18v battery for the HT50/GT50 shown below
Mine is showing four solid red lights when I try to charge it, or if I just press the green button. I've tested the battery on my meter and it's showing almost 18v.
I've took it apart as much as I can to see if anything looks amiss but looks OK to me...
I can't see anything in the manual or online about four solid red lights. Initially I thought the battery was so flat it wasn't being recognised by the charger but with it being fully charged that isn't the case. Can anyone offer any advice please? Failing that I'll need to replace it but you're looking at about fifty quid just for the battery!
