GU10 Bulb, cant remove

GU10 bulb has blown, tried to remove it with the rubber sucker thing (its in a spotlight cowl, so cant get to the sides on it). The bulb turned but would not pull out, the lens came off.
Any ideas / tips.
I am at a friends house, whilst they are away, If it were my house, I think it would be a case of brute force.

I have had this problem numerous times. Bl00dy annoying, sometimes they seem welded in. Must have had this happen with half a dozen fittings over last 5 yrs.

When I fit 230V halogen fittings I always point this potential problem out to clients and recommend using fittings which have the edges of the lamp exposed ie grippable.

I think you will struggle to get the so and so out alas. But GOOD LUCK!!

I took the lamp holder apart, as you say what poor design.
