Does it help to say the band is from circa 1972, which was about the last time I heard their hit.

This is going to sound silly but at one part it sounds almost like yodelling, (sort of like Hocus Pocus, but not), and there was an electric guitar solo. The name I’m after, as I say, is also a much more known/famous musical artist’s second name.

It could, for all I know, have been his group because he was around at that time and helped pop bands during the glam rock era we would all have heard of. He's both a producer and musician but there’s no specific mention of him fronting this band so I don’t know.

Tell ya what, since I’m after the same name anyway I’ll give it to you if you get either the band or this other guy who pops up when I Google it. It is quite gettable from my clue with a bit of lateral thinking, honest it is.
