Gurgling Immersion

Hey,

New to the forum!

Our heating and hot water is working absolutely perfectly but for some reason, when the heating reaches temperature and the boiler 'switches off', there is a quick but very loud gurgling noise from the immersion tank in our airing cupboard.

Any ideas?!

Air in the system - is there a air vent (like on rads) in the airing cupd ? A pic. would help

Many lazy installers don't bother to put an air vent on the HW heating coil and just rely on their ability to loosen a compression nut to let air out.

But hopefully yours will have one and a photo of pipework at lower part of cylinder should show this.
