Hi,
Please see photo in my 'Gutters' album (URL below just in case):

Originally I had no down pipe from my upper gutter. But it broke and when someone came to fix it they added a down pipe, and this is where my problems began. The lower gutter is now overflowing (during heavy rain) and water is going into my boiler flue!
The original solution was to run a down pipe from the upper gutter to the lower gutter (see photo) but lower gutter overflowed. The second solution (current situation) was to have the down pipe let the water flow over the peak of the lower roof so that half the water goes my side and half next door, but it still overflows.
I think I need a completely new solution which doesn't involve water from the upper gutter going into the lower gutter at all, as the lower gutter just can't cope with any additional water. But I was hoping to get some expert opinions before calling anyone out, as I've already spent quite a bit on this. It's only a problem in heavy rain, but because of the position of my boiler flue, I'm quite anxious to get it sorted once and for all.
And while I'm asking, is there anyone in the Stoke-on-Trent area who thinks they could help with this?
Many thanks,
Dave
