Last year I had an extension put on the rear of my house with a new guttering fitted. Recently the guttering has started leaking heavily at what looks like a joint. I have no experience in guttering so I may be wrong but can someone tell me from the photos if it has been fitted incorrectly and if so then how to rectify this issue please (I removed clips in final photos to clean out the joint) Happy to supply any extra information if needed. Thanks in advance.

Gutter on the right hand side is too short and not sitting on the seal. You could check the other end to see if there's room to move it along. It could have moved due to expansion and contraction or it could have just been cut too short originally.

The left hand gutter is short of the cut mark, that is a possible cause, as is the flexible joint which can twist causing aleak, although it looks ok.

L/H is on the mark, R/H is 2 inches short of the mark.

Thanks for all of your help, if I don’t have enough length on it to slide it along I assume I will need to replace it with a length of guttering long enough? Or is there an easier/cheaper fix anyone could suggest?

No it's got to sit on the seal, sealants as an alternative will fail. I find it hard to believe it was fitted that short from new so undo all the clips/joints and try it for size, guttering expands and contracts by a large amount so it's possible it's just moved. If you do have to get a new length, check the brand name on the existing, (Flo Plast, Osma etc) because they're not always compatible.
