Hi all
We're getting two new walls built in our front garden.
It looks great and we've been happy with the job so far. The only slight issue is that upon closer inspection 4 or 5 of the bricks have hairline cracks in them - ranging from 2cm to 4cm in length. From a distance you can't see the cracks at all but when you look at the bricks from a couple of feet away it is noticeable.
I pointed this out to the builder who said not to worry and that bricks can develop small cracks in the kiln. He guaranteed there would be no issues but it's still playing on the back of mind.
So is this really nothing to worry about?
