Hello, i currently have laminate fitted in my 1mtr x 1.5 mtr hallway and to stop the endless trail of dirt i'm going to fit coir style ribbed matting in its place,
The question i ask is can i glue this over the top of the laminate or would i have to remove the laminate and fit direct to the concrete floor, if so via glue or carpet grippers.
Help much appreciated
Whoops, Moderator can you please move me to floors n stuff, thank you

We find that coir matting doesn't really 'catch' the moist from your shoes. A 'walk-dry-mat' (not sure about this phrase, but hope you'll get the drift) would be much better. They are available at any reasonable carpet place and have rubber anti-slip backing. Might just do the trick for you without having to remove any flooring.

Got your drift, purchased a "mat" for £20 cut to size and installed it, decided to remove the laminate as once the mat was down it didn't feel right, had a kind of spongy hollow sound to it, New mat in place and catching dirt like pete burns catching flies in a wind tunnel Thanks for your time
