Hello,
We moved in to our house recently and found that some of the sunken halogen lights in the kitchen don't work. More precisely, out of the six, we start off with three to four turning on, then they come on and off randomly every 10 mins or so. My wife calls this 'disco lighting'.
Is this something to do with a 'transformer' that I need to locate somewhere in the ceiling? I ask this as I might damage the plaster by taking out the brass inserts that secure the halogens in place. (I have already had a little look just by taking the bulbs out but couldn't find anything in the limited field of view).
And if I find it, does it need to be replaced or the wiring checked?
Many thanks to the wise and good that can help a dozy geet!
Cheers,
GG.
