Hi all
Halstead Ace High (Wickes 102) Gas Combi Boiler
I am having a problem with the above boiler.
Basicly the boiler will not start but the power led is lit, had my mate who is
a corgi registered engineer look at it and do the checks that are in halstead manual and the problem seemed to be PCB related, so we replaced at much expense the PCB but got the same problem. We then went through the whole system checking out all the components, we were just about to give up when
he removed the upper microswitch and the boiler fired up and after replacing the microswitch boiler ran perfict all day but after being off over night the boiler would not start in the morning but it will start if its only off for a short while.
One last point which may be of consequence the boiler was moved from the kitchen to the garage a few months ago and worked perfectly could the recent cold and damp weather have anything to do with it.
Can anyone help?
Cheers
