I have recently moved house and in doing so landed myself a Halstead Quattro Gold (4/5 years old). I know very little about this device, its service history etc.
Over the weekend it seems to have developed a fault in the timer. The programme is set to come on twice a day, a function that has worked for the last 2 months, but now the boiler seems to choose when and for how long the CH should come on, currently in sets between 2-4hrs.
Is this just an obvious fault with timer or could this be something a little more sinister? does this occur regularly in this type of boiler, if so is this likely to be a tortuous task costing me the earth or a simple replacement part?
Thoughts appreciated.
